Despite mass unemployment, Pension fund assets rise to N22trn, 10.5m workers join CPS

  By allcitynews.blog  The nation’s pension fund assets rose to N21.9 trillion as at the end of October, 2024 even as 10.5million workers both from public and private sectors have so far joined the Contributory Pension Scheme(CPS) from inception in 2004 till October this year. The fund rose from N21.37 trillion in September 2024, thereby translating to over N550 billion within the period under review while  in August 2024, it rose to N21.13 trillion. The insistence of the leadership of the apex pension body to bring all workers under the umbrella of CPS has not only yielded results but has continue to lead to continuous growth in pension fund, despite the fact that some governments at majorly, state level are not paying the monthly pension contributions of their workers as and when due. Oyo Civil Service Commission announces commencement of job interview, Dec. 11

  Posted by allcitynews.blog  The Oyo State Civil Service Commission has announced the dates for the commencement of interview for the recruitment of officers into the various cadres in the Civil Service of Oyo State.  According to a statement by the Commission's Chairman, Alhaji Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, in Ibadan, the interview will commence with the Education Officers’ cadre on Wednesday, 11th and Thursday 12th December, 2024 while other cadres will be held from Monday 16th to Friday 20th December, 2024.  Consequently, he said all applicants should check the Oyo State’s job portal and their pages from Monday, 9th December. The release added that all the invited applicants should appear on the dates for their interview schedule with their score sheets as well as their invites.
